The Subscription Payoff card shows how close this month's trading profits are to covering what you pay for your subscription. It turns an abstract bill into a simple goal: a progress bar that fills up as your profits add up, and celebrates once your trades have paid for the month.
It's one of your default Dashboard cards (you'll find it near the top), and it also appears on your P&L Calendar. It looks the same in both places and always reflects the current month. Like any dashboard card, you can drag it to a new spot or hide it from Dashboard Settings — and add it back later from the card picker.

How the progress bar works
The card knows two numbers:
- Your monthly cost — what your plan costs per month (shown as, for example, $189/mo).
- Your profit this month — the total of your closed live trades since the 1st of the month.
It divides one by the other to fill the bar.
Example
You're on a plan that costs $189/mo, and so far this month your closed trades have made $150. The bar fills to 79.4% ($150 ÷ $189), and the note tells you that about $39 more in profit would cover the month.
Once you've covered it
The moment your profit reaches your monthly cost, the bar turns green and reads Paid off. Anything you make beyond that is shown as your surplus — profit on top of a subscription that's already paid for itself.
Example
That same $189/mo plan, but this month your trades made $240. The card shows Paid off and a $51 surplus ($240 − $189). Your subscription didn't cost you anything this month — your trading covered it, with money to spare.
What counts toward the bar
- Only real (live) closed trades. Practice trades don't count toward paying a real bill, so Paper Trading profits are left out.
- Only this calendar month. The total resets to $0 on the 1st of each month, giving you a fresh goal.
- Down months show 0%. If you're at a loss for the month, the bar simply sits empty until you're back in the green — it never shows a negative bar.
Note
If you pay yearly, the card still measures you against the monthly share of your plan, so the goal stays realistic month to month. To see exactly what you pay and when you're billed, open your Billing page.
When you won't see the card
The card only appears if you're on an active, recurring paid plan. If you don't have a subscription, or you're on a one-time Lifetime plan (no monthly cost to pay off), the card stays hidden.
