Trading Concepts
Throughout the portal you'll see trades counted as either active or completed. They're not the same thing, and the difference matters.
- Active means the trade is currently open. You're holding contracts; their value is fluctuating second by second; your profit or loss is not yet realized.
- Completed means the trade has fully closed. You've exited the position; the profit or loss is locked in and won't change.

Where each one appears
- The Trades page lists every active trade.
- The History page and Calendar list every completed trade.
- The top banner shows both counts side by side.
Unrealized vs realized P&L
The terms unrealized and realized map directly:
- Unrealized P&L is the combined profit/loss of your active trades, valued at the current market price. It changes every tick.
- Realized P&L is the locked-in result of your completed trades. It doesn't change.
Example
You're holding two open trades currently up +$143 combined (unrealized), and you've already closed five trades today netting +$612 (realized). If you flatten everything right now, your day finalizes at roughly +$755.
